Number One

Are you number one in your life? If you’re not number one in your life, where are you? Are you number two, number three, number four or number five? Are you always the last person for yourself to consider? Are you effectively a doormat?

If you have responsibilities to others, it may be worth acknowledging that while you may not have the confidence to put yourself at number one, you may need to put yourself at number one when it comes to looking after your own health and well-being – for the purely practical reason that if you’re wiped out with illness, burnt out by fatigue, or on the verge of a nervous breakdown, you won’t be able to support anyone else.
