Body and sound
Sound is a form of energy caused by vibration. When sound is combined with rhythm, the result is music. Our bodies are vibrating right now: all our cells in our bones, muscles, nerves and glands are constantly in flux, rubbing together, creating friction and thus sound – tiny, tiny sounds coming from every corner of our bodies.
Every grouping of cells has its own frequency. The heart has a different shape to the liver or the kidneys, so it has its own harmonics. Atoms that possess the same frequencies tend to combine and strengthen each other, and this is known as resonance. These atoms can form systems and structures… so it can be said that sound creates the structure of our bodies.
If illness and distress could be reduced to the notion of having a disturbed frequency, then there’s hope that external sounds can heal the body’s natural frequency.
